Growing up in the majestic Constantia Valley, studying between the vines at Stellenbosch University, and with ancestors who date back to the French Huguenot vintners arriving in South Africa to create a new life making wine in the Franschhoek Valley – no wonder the love of wine pulsates through my veins.

It’s the classic story of a hobby that got out of hand. Once you start asking “Why?”, there is no end in sight. I qualified as a Wine Master through the CWSET in 1999, and enjoy sharing my passion with those keen to listen. Wine education has always been a part of my wine-career. The study of wine is on-going. The more you learn, the more you realise how much more there is to discover. Wine is a product that can satisfy all your senses (and emotions!).
